I am selling a very stunning antique Moroccan servant's door from southern Morocco, estimated by experts to be from the 16th century.  Door was used as a primary entrance for servants and slaves, and shows weathering and wear characteristic in the hot, dry, sandy zone of southern Morocco.  Type of wood is unknown.
Surface exhibits original hand-painted decorative symbols with pigmentation of red and black, largely worn away from centuries of exposure to the elements.
Surface also exhibits hand-hewn ornamental markings and symbols characteristic of this region of Morocco.
Original iron bands and nails adorn this beautiful door.
Because of its years of use and changing hands, the door is exhibits some surface discolorations, and is missing some pieces of the ornamental paneling - as is characteristic of any exterior door of such provenance.
Has been used as an ornamental piece of wall art, and has elicited emotional reactions of amazement from all who view it.
    Dimensions are:  78cm x 138cm  (31-inch x 54.5-inch)
Note that the door may take up to one month for arrival.  Will ship world-wide, provided that non-US buyers pay via WIRE TRANSFER.
