Authentic antique Japanese Shinshinto Era (1781-1868) Kaifu Tanto.
Excellent provenance!
Two (2) NBTHK Hozon papers for both the antique blade & vintage koshirae.
Kogatana- signed "Kinkazan Fujiwara Morimichi" (金花山藤原盛道).
Vintage koshirae & newly commissioned modern shirasaya.
Silver & Copper hibaki.
Japanese family Mon & Floral motif fittings.
Wide, thick, heavy-duty blade designed for piercing armor.

Blade weight:  305gr / 10.75oz
One very small (3cm) non-fatal kizu along the mune (see photo).
