These two Pre War Japanese round menko cards show two different but related characters. Each card is 1 and 7/8 inches ( 4.7 cm) in diameter. Many Japanese menko cards of this vintage show real people or cultural images of the era. The masked man wearing the turban with the jewel on his forehead and his monkey pilot seem to be a pair (at least to me) but I have no idea who they might be.
The cards are in very good to excellent condition. Colors are good and I do not think they were ever played with by children.
