    This is a Japanese tanto in shirosaya mountings.   The blade is signed "Nihon Kaji Sosho Iga-no kami Fujiwara Kinmichi 日本鍜治宗匠伊賀守藤原金道”, Kiku mon, Jorai 除雷, dated "Bunka Gan-nen Nigatsu hi (a day Feb., 1804) 文化元年二月日”, "

    shape, Edo period made blade.   The blade is in old full polish, no rust, no stain and in mint condition.    Temper line is wavy

    temper and deep temper at the point.  Forging grain is tight
