Iron tsuba, brass dragon inlayed takabori iroe technique. Inlay often found in tsuba from the 17th century, especially in those of character
more decorative was decorating the board with full-plastic ones
performances made of colored metals. This technique was called iroe (色 繪).
An appropriately sized recess was cut in the plate, with a shape similar to the prepared one previously a decoration made of, for example, brass, gold, silver, shakudō, etc. Then it was driven into the hole, fastened by clamping it with the plate material with the aid of a special chisel and pressing the metal towards the inlay, and it was finished with chiseling and engraving. The artist then received a takabori ‑ iroe (高 彫 色 繪) . 56,8 mm
