antique japanese wakizashi with a bonji

antique japanese wakizashi.this is an old antique japabese wakizashi. believe to be fairly old, pre world wars. it is sign be signature is a mystery. i have been told its possible older japanese writting, sanscript i think they call it, but not sure. there are fine scratches on the blade and couple dark black rust spots. but all are on surface and nothing deep. no cracks.
its 19 inches over all and 14 cutting edge.
