    Description

    One (1) a
    ntique Japanese Wakizashi tsuka.  Newer wrap.  Copper fuchi kashira decorated with gold gilt aoi leaves and nanako background.  Menuki are brass flowers.  Edo Period 1700-1868.  Good condition, minor wear, minor losses to same.  Small gap between fuchi and wrap (see picture #12).  Measures 5 5/8 inches long.
    Fuchi measures 1 1/2 inches by 7/8 inch and 3/8 inch tall.  Nakago ana in handle measures 13/16 inch by 3/16 inch.  Mekugi hole center measures 3/4 inch back.  2 7/8 inches deep.
