Antique Japanese Kashira Sword Ring With Shakudo Nanako

I have come to really appreciate the history and craftsmanship of this amazingly different and unique piece of Japanese sword jewels. This is a lovely ring that was made from an antique Japanese sword Kashira (the handle part). The Kashira is a lot older than the 20th-century setting. The setting is crafted from Sterling silver and hallmarked; silver. The design is crafted of hand-forged mixed metals with a fabulously detailed Shakudo Nanako background with a gold & copper maple leaf The background is of finely textured water with gold spirals. This ring is in wonderful condition with normal wear. These pieces, in my opinion, are such a fascinating part of Japanese history not to mention; amazing old world craftsmanship.....
