Classic Car Addict is excited to present this awesome 1970 Plymouth Barracuda for sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. “There aren't many cars that inspire car-related lust like the Plymouth Barracuda. In the muscle car era, 1970 was the biggest year of all.” In the beginning, there were family cars, but people wanted more than that and wanted to go fast. Full restoration that was tastefully converted from a 318 to a 440. It has extremely straight and rust-free panels. The first-generation Plymouth Barracuda debuted in 1964, barely beating the Ford Mustang to market. But it wasn't until 1970 when the third generation was introduced that the Barracuda finally came into its own. The Barracuda was introduced along with the all-new Dodge Challenger. Both shared the new E platform, which stood for extended, which was an extended version of Chryslers K platform. Similar looks were shared by the cars which resulted in them being known as the Mopar twins. The interior of the car has been reupholstered and presents very well with no areas of excessive wear. You can see there was a big investment in making it look great. You have matching door panels and a clean dash. You’ve got the big readable gauges, high-back bucket seats and an abundance of craftsmanship. We love the originality of the woodgrain accents throughout. But the sleek new exterior that finally looked as good as all the other car competitors wasn’t the only new feature of the new Barracuda. This vehicle went through a full restoration, finished in Black Velvet with ‘Cuda and 440 decals to emphasize that this has an actual 440 engine. This was restored to a very high level, and it’s a true muscle car with a taste of class. In 1970, the base V8 for this Plymouth was the 318 cubic-inch unit. It’s a great motor, but it was no match for the 440 that was available. A huge improvement to this ‘Cuda was a serious upgrade in the engine compartment to the bold 440. Let’s not forget to mention the awesome Shaker hood. All the extra muscle makes a mean rumble. Engine bay is in outstanding condition! This classic rolls on BF Goodrich radial T/A tires, P235/60/R15. Here's a third generation ‘Cuda that has a great look and is ready to hit the road. Have this awesome classic delivered straight to your driveway! Call Classic Car Addict today at 480-256-1459.
